simplicity @ 18:33

I am so relieved my two week assessment block has finished, so now I've got heaps of time to blog and do other stuff, like sew (that was the worst segue ever, but I made a DIY version of a lace maxi-skirt I saw in Sportsgirl that was $80! And long story short, it turned out even better than I imagined and is actually wearable..photos soon) so hopefully I'll be moving out of the awkwardness of my study and my photos will have a background other than a white wall.

Enough rambling. How amazing is this ring? I've been wanting the YSL oval in black or turquoise for so so long, except I have no idea if it's even sold in Australia, and I don't think my mother would approve of me spending a rough three hundred dollars on a ring, so imagine how excited I was when I saw this imitation version in Sportsgirl for $17! Excuse the shitty hair, it was a busy day at school and it was actually pouring and my hair always goes insanely frizzy when it rains so I have to tie it up in a bun all the time.

the black cat @ 08:10

One of my absolute favourite shirts of all time which reminds me of one of my favourite songs of all time - listen to it below! I figured I might have everything in black and white just to suit the theme, but I've included a link to the colour photo too.

le papillon @ 12:39

This was a photo taken during my stay in the south-west of France. It's so nostalgic to see this road again because it was the main 'shopping road' in the town's city center and I'd have to pass through it every afternoon with my french/english friends to get lunch or go to a cafe etc.

I'm wearing all black (really should stop doing that!) except my concealed batwing top inside is a creamish colour. This is one of my favourite coats ever, and my only cape too, and even though the sleeves aren't full length, it's surprisingly heat-retaining!

gorman in b&w @ 15:54

So during a recent shopping trip (ahem, procrastinating from study), I discovered the brand Gorman. They really have an amazing range and all their clothes are made from organic materials...so in love! The dress I'm wearing below is made out of the most amazing fabric - it's so delicately light and flowy and feels so soft, yet warm (excuse the crinkles in it though - my wardrobe really is overflowing and I'm unable to hang anything up properly).

Anyway, so I've been spending my three day weekend (yippee for exam leave!) indoors, escaping from Sydney's bipolar weather and just generally doing nothing - blame it on the rapture! It took me so long to get all the coding for the layout right..basically forgotten all the HTML I learnt years ago, and I'm really damn frustrated.
